The Armidale Junior Rugby Club was established in 2012 by a group of enthusiastic parents.

Rugby Union or Rugby, the game they play in Heaven, is a world game played by all ages, sizes and backgrounds. To encourage participation there are different variants of the sport – Rugby 7s, Touch 7s, Rugby 10s, XVs, golden oldies and more. 

Rugby is played by more than eight million people world wide and has a fan base of 500 million people, with the Rugby World Cup considered the third most watched sporting event on the planet.
